The University of Houston College of Pharmacy Delta Delta Chapter of the Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity secured its second consecutive — and its eighth since 2015 — Chapter of the Year Award while three of its members were elected to executive positions at the organization’s Southwest Province Spring Assembly March 28 in Houston.
Pharm.D. student Rebeca Pelayo Carvajal is helping close critical language gaps in patient care. Through Spanish-language counseling, leadership across multiple student organizations and a passion for improving outcomes in Hispanic communities, she is using pharmacy as a powerful tool for advocacy, access and impact.

The UHCOP Chapter of the Student National Pharmaceutical Association scored multiple honors — including a near-sweep of the Clinical Skills Competition and finalist recognition in the SNPhA x Walmart Prescription for Service Competition — at the Region III, IV and V Conference March 20-21 in Houston
