UHCOP-Led Vancomycin Kidney Injury Study Named SIDP Paper of the Year

A UHCOP-led study examining whether montelukast may help reduce vancomycin-associated kidney injury has been selected for the Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy Paper of the Year Award by the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists. The study was led by Nicholas S. Teran, Pharm.D., BCIDP, a recent alumnus of the UHCOP-Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Fellowship Program, and reflects collaboration across all three UHCOP academic departments.
