Agustín Vallejo

Expertise: Electoral politics, the electoral process and political careers in Latin America and the U.S.

Career Highlights: 
Agustín Vallejo is a research assistant professor in the Hobby School of Public Affairs where he works with the students in the Master of Public Administration program. Vallejo has worked as a post-doctoral research fellow with the Hobby School since January 2019, teaching graduate courses on analysis and modeling and supporting Hobby School research on Texas trends, elections, legislative issues and more. Vallejo co-teaches workshops for the Data Science for Energy Transition, a multi-university summer program supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation to train college students equipped to lead in the changing energy industry.

The Buenos Aires native holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. in political science from Rice University and a B.A. in political science from Universidad de Buenos Aires in Argentina. Vallejo is also a regular contributor to the U.S. edition of La Política Online, a digital Spanish-language publication covering economic and political news.
