The Telling Project: Minnesota Remembers Vietnam is a PBS documentary showing the journey of five Vietnam War veterans and family members as they shape their experiences into a powerful stage performance with the help of The Telling Project, a national performing arts non-profit that uses theater as a tool to deepen civilian understanding of the military experience. Distributed nationally by American Public Television.
Dr. Max Rayneard is a visiting assistant professor in the UH Honors College, teaching in the Human Situation and the Medicine & Society minor. He is the Associate Director of the Creative Work Minor. He is the co-creator of The Telling Project's process. The Telling Project is a national performing arts non-profit that stages stories told by veteran and war-adjacent populations. Rayneard has written and/or directed productions across the United States, including such venues as The Library of Congress, The Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, and the Alley Theatre.
