Please join us for the CPH Lecture Series and the Creative Writing Program's screening of the film screening and discussion of Veins In The Gulf, with Directors Elizabeth Coffman and Ted Hardin. This event will take place Tuesday, February 27th at 7:00pm in Melcher Hall, Room 180. 

The film sheds light unto the bayou culture of southern Louisiana, and examines political challenges, environmental crises, and community efforts to restore the coastline.

Veins In The Gulf will be of interest to those wanting to learn more on the topics of: coastal erosion, climate change, flood engineering, Cajun culture, community decision-making, petrochemical industry, shrimping/fishing, effects and responses to Katrina/Gustav/Ike, and the BP/Halliburton/Transocean disasters.
